|Rubén Sanz Ramiro : Head Sommelier
Originally from Ribera del Duero, Spain, Rubén Sanz Ramiro studied at the University of Catalunya's School of Hotel Management and began his career in wine service at The Providores in London. Sanz Ramiro went on to become assistant sommelier at the Michelin three-star The Fat Duck before he was invited by Public's chef Brad Farmerie to join him in New York. Sanz Ramiro created the wine list for Public's adjacent wine bar, The Monday Room, and Double Crown.
Sanz Ramiro gained hands-on experience in viticulture at Domaine Zind-Humbrecht in Alsace and holds the Diploma in Wine and Spirits from London’s Wine and Spirits Education Trust. He hopes to begin the rigorous Master’s of Wine this year.
